Gerardo Innamorato

Profundo conocedor de la vida y la obra de Carlos Gardel, Gerardo Innamorato es un gardeliano de ley, admirador apasionado del arte del gran cantor rioplatense e investigador incansable de su trayectoria, especialmente de aquellos años tempranos que todavía guardan numerosos interrogantes.

Radicado desde hace años en Paso de los Toros, Tacuarembó, su trabajo de investigación se ha centrado particularmente en la presencia de Gardel en el entorno de Tambores, Curtina y Valle Edén, un territorio fundamental para comprender algunos de los primeros pasos del artista y su vinculación con el mundo criollo.

Desde su retiro, Innamorato ha profundizado una tarea paciente y silenciosa de investigación, convirtiéndose en una referencia para investigadores, periodistas y aficionados interesados en la historia de Gardel en el norte uruguayo. Su conocimiento directo del territorio y, especialmente, su relación con vecinos de la zona y con familias vinculadas históricamente a aquellos lugares, le han permitido recuperar testimonios orales, fotografías, documentos y recuerdos transmitidos por generaciones.

Fue, además, amigo personal del reconocido investigador Silva Cabrera (Avlis), una relación que enriqueció su contacto con la investigación gardeliana y con las distintas fuentes vinculadas a la vida del cantor.

Sin embargo, hay un rasgo que define especialmente su manera de investigar: su permanente búsqueda de objetividad. Su admiración por Gardel no significa aceptar sin más las versiones tradicionales. Por el contrario, su obsesión investigadora lo lleva a contrastar testimonios, consultar a testigos y descendientes, localizar fuentes directas y confrontar los relatos orales con la documentación disponible. En esa tarea, territorio, memoria y documento se convierten en herramientas complementarias para aproximarse a una historia todavía abierta.

Una investigación nacida del conocimiento del lugar, de la escucha de sus protagonistas y de una pasión gardeliana que, lejos de sustituir la búsqueda de la verdad, la convierte en una exigencia permanente.

Gabriel Martínez

Gabriel Martínez es un investigador gardeliano uruguayo dedicado a profundizar en aquellos aspectos menos conocidos de la vida de Carlos Gardel y a revisar, desde una mirada crítica, episodios que han quedado al margen de las investigaciones más tradicionales.

Su trabajo parte de una premisa fundamental: en la historia de Gardel todavía existen numerosos episodios que merecen ser revisados, contrastados y sometidos nuevamente al análisis de las fuentes. Por ello, su interés se dirige especialmente hacia aquellos relatos, testimonios y documentos que pueden aportar nuevas perspectivas sobre la vida del gran artista rioplatense.

La investigación de Gabriel Martínez se inscribe así en una línea de trabajo que resulta especialmente necesaria dentro del estudio gardeliano: volver sobre las historias conocidas, separar la tradición de la evidencia y formular nuevas preguntas allí donde todavía existen zonas oscuras.

Su propuesta no pretende solamente confirmar o negar una historia. Busca, ante todo, abrir nuevamente el debate y aportar elementos que permitan acercarnos con mayor rigor a un episodio que, por su propia naturaleza, continúa despertando interrogantes.
